Behavioural Consultation & Therapy Services, Inc. is a private service founded by Sandee-lee Parker, M.A., B.C.B.A. in 1992. Sandee-lee graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Masters degree in Psychology with a Specialty in Behaviour Analysis. She is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and has been working with children with Autism and other special needs since 1986. Also on staff is our consulting Psychologist, Dr. Jeff Sherman who has been working with children with Autism since 1975. In order to meet the diverse needs of the children and families we serve, our Senior and Instructor Therapists' educational backgrounds consist of many disciplines including, but not limited to, psychology, behaviour analysis, behaviour science technology, linguistics, developmental service work and early childhood education.

BCTS serves children between the ages of 14 months and 16 years who have been diagnosed
with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger's Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder
and other special learning needs.Children at BCTS have a wide range of functioning levels and needs.

Some of our learners have near-typical academic, language and social functioning
while others present with significant delays in these areas. BCTS prides itself on

current research in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis. B.C.T.S., Inc. deems inappropriate behaviours to be the symptoms of a child's skill deficits.
As such, our emphasis is placed on the use of positive techniques to develop useful skills and desirable behaviours.
B.C.T.S., Inc. is a family directed service. The needs of the family will dictate the nature and level of service.

Absolutely not! While B.C.T.S., Inc. is a private service, there is funding available through various government agencies as well as through private foundations that can help cover
some of the cost of service. Additionally some, if not all of the child's intervention may be covered by extended health benefits. BCTS will directly assist parents in accessing available funding sources.
